Russia: Stadco to export components to western Europe

UK stampings supplier Stadco intends to export components manufactured in Russia to western Europe, reports Automotive News Europe. Stadco is currently collaborating with Russian automotive manufacturer Severstal-Avto to build body stamping and assembly facilities in Russia. The venture is expected to serve Severstal-Avto and other domestic Russian OEMs in addition to European and Asian automotive manufacturers that are opening car assembly plants in Russia. Later in 2007, Stadco plans to export components manufactured by this joint venture to western Europe as well.
