Germany: Behr says its cooled EGR technology meets Euro V standards

BEHR has further advanced its cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology for heavy trucks in anticipation of the new Euro V emission standards in Europe and corresponding regulations in the US. To comply with Euro V standards, commercial vehicles must reduce the quantity of nitrogen oxides by a further 43% compared to the Euro IV level - similar targets will also apply for the US/07 emission standard from January.
