Brazil: Lotus Engineering to develop Obvio! trybrid sports cars

RIO de Janeiro-based Obvio! Automotoveiculos has signed a deal worth over ￡70m (US$137m) with UK-based automotive engineering consultancy Lotus Engineering to develop two 'trybrid' (three fuels) high-performance microsports cars for the international market. Ricardo Machado, chief executive officer of Obvio! said his company will work with Lotus to develop what he called "high performance ultra-safe urban microsports cars" for export to the US, Europe and Japan.
