Italy: BorgWarner sole supplier for new Volvo engine timing chains

BORGWARNER has been named the single-source supplier of pre-assembled timing chain systems for the Volvo S80 sedan's I6 gasoline engine. The 3.2 litre engine, the company says, is the first of a new family that will equip mid-class Volvo vehicles and future Ford PAG models. Land Rover is the second brand to fit the 3.2 litre unit into one of its models - production of the Freelander 2/LR2 started recently in the UK.
