Drunken tractor driver jailed after killing boy

A farm worker has been imprisoned after running over and killing a young boy with his tractor. The self-employed worker was 2.5 times over the legal alcohol limit for driving. The HSE inspector who investigated the incident, Julian Franklin, warned that although "drink driving legislation does not apply on private land... it does not mean you can blatantly disregard the health and safety of those around you when driving heavy and dangerous machinery".
