Door manufacturer Munster ignored unloading warnings

A window and door manufacturer has been fined ￡300,000, with costs of ￡18,424, after a window fitter was injured during an unloading operation. The fine represents 10.1 % of Munster Joinery (UK)'s most recent pre-tax profit of ￡2,958,363, which it made on a turnover of ￡73,629,923 in 2015. The HSE had previously warned the company about the risks and, more than two years after the incident, still had to take further enforcement action for unloading shortcomings.
