摘要

A recycling company has been fined £100,000 with costs of £17,641 after a shovel loader struck a litter picker, who subsequently had both legs amputated below the knees. The incident occurred on 5 December 2014 at Jack Moody Recycling's premises at Lodgewood Farm, Telford. The driver of the loader thought he had hit a brick wall but, climbing down from the cab to check for damage, he found the litter picker, who had been standing near the wall, badly injured.
