In this feature, we look at the prosecution of a manufacturer of precast concrete flooring that resulted in three fines totalling ￡285,000, and court costs of ￡56,324. The prosecution encompassed the death of an employee who was crushed by passing machines and a second incident in which guarding failures resulted in a "de-gloving" injury, as well as electrical failures unearthed during the almost four years that separated the two incidents at Treanor Pujol's factory in Stourton, Leeds.
