摘要

Almost nine in 10 people working in the UK film and television industry have experienced a mental health problem, according to a study by the Work Foundation1. The prevalence is far higher than the estimate of two in three of the wider UK population. The Looking glass study, which was commissioned by the Film and TV Charity, included a survey that elicited more than 9,000 responses, and in depth interviews with workers in the industry. Findings suggest that some of the most common contributing factors to poor mental health are rife within the sector, including lack of control over working hours, intense pressure on and off set, and bullying and harassment.
