Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 will focus on sleep and run from 18 until 24 May.The Mental Health Foundation (MHF), which has set the theme and organised the week since 2001, advises that the week will look at "the connections between our sleep - or lack of it - and mental health". It chose sleep as this year's theme because of the prevalence of sleeping problems - affecting millions of people - and evidence that "clearly shows" that sleep can have a major impact on mental health. "Sleep is the unsung hero for our mental health," insists the MHF's chief executive, Mark Rowland.
