China wire rod export offers keep rising

Chinese steel mills further increased their export offers for wire rod over the past week following higher domestic prices, sources said on Tuesday May 26. Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for June/July shipments of steel wire rod (mesh quality) export, fob China main port was $445-450 per tonne on Tuesday May 26, up by $5 per tonne from $440-445 per tonne a week earlier. China’s domestic wire rod prices increased over the past week after the return of healthy market demand, sources said.
