Emergency 'scout'

When I took up my current post it involved much more than a change in job title. The job title in question is that of accident reduction nurse specialist - an innovative new role commissioned as part of the safeguarding team of Mid Essex Primary Care Trust (PCT) and based in Mid Essex Hospitals NHS Trust, and a post I have held since September 2010.The post is supported by a part-time liaison officer, who provides the clerical element of the accident and emergency (A&E) liaison role between the acute trust and surrounding PCTs, allowing me to develop my analysis and research role more fully.
