摘要

Four in 10 children would like to play outside more than they do, a new survey has revealed. The poll by Play England, Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland, found more than 50% of adults reported they had played outside at least seven times a week when they were growing up, compared to less than a quarter of children (23%) today. Traffic accidents and 'stranger danger' are the top two parental concerns stopping outdoor play, with intolerant neighbours also acting as a 'major barrier' preventing children from playing outside their homes.
