摘要

Helpful bacteria levels are lower in babies delivered by caesarean than those born vaginally, a study claims. The research, published online in the journal Gut, found c-section infants had lower levels of the major group of gut bacteria associated with good gut health, Bacteroidetes phylum, as well as chemicals that help curb allergic responses. In some babies born by c-section, the acquisition of Bacteroidetes did not occur until a year after birth.
