Why are you at work?

Our performance at work is a result of our skills and abilities, plus our level of motivation. Even the most skilled and experienced practitioner cannot be a peak performer if they are not motivated. As community practitioners, we all come to work for various reasons and there are different things we value about our roles. It's important to know why we are at work as this can affect our motivation at work and thus our performance. Do you know why you are at work? Are you just out to earn a living? Are you purposeful at work? If not, how can you know what drives you?
