Fluorinated Hybrid Polymers by Copolymerization of Trialkylsilyl Methacrylate with Fluoroalkyl Methacrylate

摘要

The easiest way to obtain fluorinated hybrid polymers posseing silicone atoms might be vinyl copolymerization of fluorinated vinyl monomers with vinyl monomers possessing silyl groups as substituens. To prepare fluorinated hybrid polymers bearing alkylsilyl groups, copolymeriation of fluoroalkyl methacrylates with alkylsilyl methacrylates was investigated, and the surface character of the copolymers was examined by measurement of the contact angle with water and methanol.
