Tauron gets 5-6 price hike

Poland's energy regulator, URE, approved hikes in individual end user power prices in 2010 for Tauron's two sales companies of between 5%-6%, Tauron said January 25. In a statement Tauron said URE had approved an average 5.7% increase in energy prices for Enion Energia, based in Krakow in south Poland and an average 6.4% rise for EnergiaPro Gigawat based in Wroclaw in south west Poland. Tauron, the country's second largest power group based in Katowice, south Poland, said the new tariffs would take effect from February 6.
