Deputy minister resigns: report

Interfax reported January 18, citing unknown sources at the Energy Ministry, that Deputy Energy Minister Vyacheslav Sinyugin had tendered his resignation, and would be replaced by Andrey Shishkin, Otkritie said. Sinyugin was hired at RAO UES in 1998 and was the CEO of RusHydro from 2005 until summer 2008. Shishkin has worked as top manager at several utilities since 2005: Tyumen Electricity Retail, IES Holding, TGK-10 (Fortum). During 2001-2005 he was the chairman of Agropromcredit commercial bank.
