Tatneft hopes for slight output rise

Russian oil producer Tatneft expects to maintain its crude production in 2010 at least at the same level as last year, the company said January 26. Tatneft operates in one of Russia's oldest oil provinces, the Republic of Tatarstan, where most of the oil fields are depleted. The company said it produced 25.85 million mt (517,000 b/d) in 2009, a slight increase of 0.3% on the previous year. Tatneft's associated gas output amounted to 756 million cubic meters, with gas liquids production reaching 292,000 mt, Tatneft said, providing no comparisons. The company also said it added 62.6 million mt of crude and gas condensate to its recoverable reserves in 2009, including 44.4 million mt in Tatarstan.
