Continuity of the first eigenvalue for a family of degenerate eigenvalue problems

For each we consider the eigenvalue problem in a bounded domain () with smooth boundary and subject to the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. Denote by the first eigenvalue of this problem. Using -convergence arguments we prove the continuity of the function with respect to on the interval .
