Upper estimates for hyperbolic metrics on subdomains

摘要

A result concerning upper estimates for hyperbolic metrics on subdomains is proved. The method of proof involves a standard technique based on the classical Schwarz-Pick lemma that yields the domain monotonicity of the hyperbolic metric. The information we obtain would be used to estimate the hyperbolic length of a closed curve in the subdomain away from the boundary.
