Grid link gets legal backing

The Albanian government has approved a draft law for the ratification of a ?42 million loan agreement and project agreed between the country's Ministry of Finance, the national Transmission System Operator (as the implementing agency) and Germany's KfW development bank for the construction of a 400 kV transmission line that will connect Tirana (Albania) with Pristina (Kosovo). Separately, the government in Tirana also approved February 10 a similar draft law for the ratification of a ?37.75 million loan agreement with the KfW for a project to build a 110 kV ring in Southern Albania.
