Vlora TPP to launch soon

Albania's new 97-MW Vlora TPP is to be fully ready for commercial production of electricity in a matter of days, once Italy's Maire Tecnimont has completed the plant's commissioning. KESH director general Muharem Stojku announced that the TPP would undergo general testing in mid-February after which the plant would be ready for commercial operations. The new power plant is the first major investment in power generation in the country in the past three decades. The ?92 million project was co-financed by international lenders World Bank, EBRD, EIB and Albania's KESH.
