Textron Aviation Machinists Avoid Strike, Accept New Labor Contract

Textron Aviation avoided a strike by its hourly workforce when members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers accepted the company's final offer of a new four-year labor contract on Sept. 19. The agreement, which took effect Sept. 21, includes increased job security language that ensures final assembly of its new OEMs/SUPPLIERS TEXTRON, P. 4 Cessna 408 SkyCourier and Cessna Denali turboprops will remain within the company in Wichita for the length of the agreement. Both aircraft are now under development.
