ADAS functionality will become mandatory in European vehicles in 2022, putting pressure on manufacturers to fully optimize vehicle development and testing. Although the automotive industry has been forced to find new ways of working during the current health crisis, the pace of vehicle development has not been substantially affected. However, the combination of new buying patterns, rapid technical change and faster consumer adoption of new technology means the industry now has to look for new methods to optimize time-to-market.
