摘要

The development of antibiotics against Gram-negative bacteria is acentral problem in drug discovery. In this report, we demonstratethat aromatic sulfonyl fluorides with a nitro group in their orthoposition have remarkable antibacterial activity and are activeagainst drug-resistant pathogens, such as methicillin-resistantStaphylococcus aureus (MRSA), multidrug resistant Acinetobacterbaumannii, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
