The company Eurocar started its activities on December 19, 2001. The modern European level plant is located on the territory of SEZ Zakarpatye and was built in accordance with Volkswagen concern standards in only six months. Accomplishment of this large-scale project directed both at development of Ukrainian car making and stimulating of adjacent industries envisages two stages. The first phase of Euro-car project has been successfully carried out since December 2001 and represents an organization of Skoda cars component assembly with the capacity 15 ths. cars per year. The total volume of mastered resources exceeds USD 34.7 mn provided that initial investment made USD 2.2 mn. Nowadays 150 people work at the company, however taking into account sales and service system, the total number of created working places amounted approximately two thousands.
