Last year's tanker market was a welcome improvement after a depressed and depressing couple of years. Today, however, the orderbook looms large over the market and the fundamentals cannot help but be negatively impacted by the inevitable supply-side growth in the coming months which will, in turn, put pressure on freight rates.
