German Navy Turns To Florida Consortium For P-3 Aircrew Training

The German Navy has turned to private contractors to train pilots for its Lockheed P-3 Orion maritime patrollers. ESG Aerosystems, the U.S. business of German defense electronics firm ESG, and Florida-based MHD-Rockland have been given a $64 million contract to train P-3 aircrews. Flights will begin in December at Keystone Heights Airport in Florida.
