Survival of the Fittest: Lessons from Natural Selection

My background is in evolutionary biology and I came to develop a way of thinking that is very much founded on the principles of evolution and natural selection. My approach to business is based exactly on these same principles and I tend to look at evolutionary sciences in order to find a rationale for the birth, growth and extinction of businesses. This year (2009) marks two most important celebrations, both related to one of the greatest scientists and thinkers in history, Charles Darwin; it is 200 years from his birth and 150 years from the publication of his landmark book "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection."
