摘要

This image was created by combining 8 rotated copies of a horizontal section from a mouse brain, obtained using ultra-high-field MRI. The image method corresponds to the directionally encoded color track-density imaging, a super-resolution imaging method developed to provide fine anatomic detail and fiber directionality information of brain structures. This super-resolution method is able to increase the spatial resolution of the reconstructed images beyond that of the acquired MRI data, by incorporating information from whole-brain diffusion MRI fiber-tracking results. The details regarding data acquisition and data analysis can be found in reference 3.
