The following article from Advanced Synthesis &Catalysis, "An Efficient Synthesis of Poly(ethylene glycol)-Supported Iron(II) Porphyrin using a Click Reaction and its Application for the Catalytic Olefination of Aldehydes" by Suman L. Jain, Jomy K. Joseph, Fritz E. Kuhn and Oliver Reiser, published online on January 12, 2009, in Wiley InterScience (now: Wiley Online Library), and in print Volume 351, Issue 1 + 2, 2009, pages 230-234, has been retracted by agreement between the authors, the Editor, Dr. Joe P. Richmond, and Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA. The retraction has been agreed because it was discovered that the click reaction had not occurred and that the iron porphyrin was not covalently bound to the poly(ethylene glycol) support. The principal hypotheses and conclusions are therefore not verified.
