National incentives

Three investment-incentive programmes operate in Costa Rica: the free-trade zone system, a so-called active-finishing regime and a duty-drawback scheme. These incentives are equally available to foreign and domestic investors. Incentives include tax holidays, free or subsidised infrastructure and industrial parks, and specialised labour-force training.
