After an increase during the past 15 weeks, Global CFI has stepped down by $0.19/t or 1% this week due to a $3.35/t decline in sea-riverrates in the Azov Sea. The indices have not changed much in other regions, except for Gulf of Finland CFI which has decreased by $0.15/tand Far East CFI which has risen by $0.25/t. Global ISM Commodity Index remains relatively stable (+ 1 point over the week). Marketplayers report stronger demand for Ukrainian and Russian square billets in Algeria, while the buying interest in the commodity has droppedto a minimum in Turkey and Egypt. India is the only market which supports the demand for Black Sea wheat. Ukrainian maize remains quitepopular cargo in Southeast Asia. Exports of steel scrap to the Turkish market have perked up, and major volumes of the cargo in large shiploadlots are purchased from the European suppliers.
