Global CFI has inched down by another $0.16/t. Similar to last week, the decrease has been primarily caused by the continuingdecline in BlSea freight rates ($0.39/t down over the week). Moreover, the rates have also stepped down in the EMed ($0.08/tdown) and the Gulf of Finland ($0.09/t down). Global ISM Commodity Index has held largely steady. The demand for Russian andUkrainian grain is weak at the moment. The purchase volume of coal keeps decreasing in the EU and Turkey. The demand for scrapremains active in Turkey and prices keep growing, while shipments from the Azov-Black Sea basin are few. North African importersstill express rather dull interest in finished and semi-finished steel products; Turkish and Black Sea steels are mainly sold to SoutheastAsia in large shipload lots.
