Analysis of Standardization and Qualification Procedures of Thermoelectronic Devices

Thermoelectronic systems can be led back to a common functional architecture despite the broad variety of possible use case scenarios. The existing qualification standards for automotive Electric/Electronic/ Programmable Electronic (E/E/PE) systems cannot be applied conveniently to thermoelectronic systems. A harmonized thermoelectronic qualification standard can constitute a significant building block to intensify the future use of thermoelectronic energy converters in vehicle subsystems. Therefore a new thermoelectronic qualification standard should be established, transporting the standardization and qualification knowledge to the next level.
