Daimler AG and Infosys have announced a long-term strategic partnership for a technology-driven transformation of the IT infrastructure. Once all permissions have been received from the authorities, the two companies will work together to transform their IT operational model and their IT infrastructure landscape for the areas workplace services, service desk, data centers and SAP base. The cooperation offers both sides strategic advantages. It allows Daimler to expand its IT competence and Infosys to strengthen its automotive expertise. The most important goals of the partnership include the creation of an intelligent hybrid cloud in order to enable the optimal use of solutions such as Infosys Cobalt and cloud services offered by other suppliers. It also serves the acceleration of the multi-cloud journey focusing on the introduction of open-source and climate-neutral operation thanks to the consolidation and rationalization of data centers in all regions.
