Unfortunately, the IAA Mobility did an excellent job of highlighting the current mood of uncertainty in the automotive industry caused by the technolo g ical transformation and the Covid-19 pandemic. The ex - hibition had a new format and was held in exhibition halls and outdoor experience areas across a large part of the city of Munich. Alongside a selection of the latest electric vehicles and some new concept cars, the focus of the exhibition, in parti cular among the automotive industry suppliers, was on new technologies for batteries, electric powertrains, electronic systems and fuel cells, plus solutions for the charging infrastructure. The automated, software-based driving functions of the future also played a prominent role.
