Wireless Battery Management as a Game Changer

Compared with wired solutions, wireless battery management has the potential to reduce the development and assembly effort as well as the weight and space requirements of a battery pack. This results in lower manufacturing costs and improved range of the respective EV. Over the entire lifetime of a battery pack – from initial assembly to disposal or second-life use – the wBMS ensures that vehicle manufacturers can guarantee the performance and safety of a battery and maximize its value. US vehicle manufacturer GM already uses this technology in its Ultium batteries, where it has proven reliable.
