Freight market

摘要

Following an increase in rates in the Azov Sea ($2-3/t up last week), the owners of river-sea fleet are now trying to raise the freightlevel further, voicing $1/t higher ideas. Similar to last week, grain is the major market driver. At present, most owners are seeking to get$33-34/t for transportation of 3-5,000 t of wheat from Rostov/Azov to the Marmara Sea and $45-46/t for shipment to Mersin. However,the charterers are paying at best $30-31/t and low $40s/t respectively.
