As vehicles and the connected technologies within them continue to evolve to be more complex, so does the process of protecting the networks, de vices, and data within them against unauthorized access – making automotive cybersecurity indispensable. While increasing connectivity provides car buyers with the driving experience they demand, it also increases the vehicle’s attack surface, for example through USB connections, connected entertainment or navigation systems. This makes testing the cybersecurity of the vehicle and its systems even more critical to prevent attacks and manipulation and to guarantee the privacy and the safety of occupants.
