Grain market insight: Jan-Oct traffic volume on Dnipro up 35 per cent y-o-y

The overall freight traffic on the Dnipro River has increased by 35 per cent year-on-year. So, a total of 11.6 million tonnes of cargoes were carried along the river from Jan 1 to Oct 31, 2021 compared with 8.6 mmt in the same period of 2020. The transportation volume of construction materials and other cargoes amounted to 7.9 mmt in Jan 1-Sep 31, a 84.4 per cent surge against 4.3 mmt y-o-y.
