Trade weakens slightly on Black Sea small-tonnage market

The number of new cargo offers has decreased slightly on the Black Sea coaster market, although owners successfully keep freight rates stable due to still limited tonnage list. Grain transportation volumes are decreasing, which is quite typical for 2H May: At present, charterers are ready to pay $28/t for shipment of 6,000 t of wheat from Berdyansk to the Adriatic Sea; The deal for transportation of 10-12,000 t of wheat from Constanta to Tunisia with 4,000x/1,750x l/d rates and May 22 onwards laycans has been concluded at $24/t.
