The small-tonnage market keeps breaking all sorts of records. The cargo flow remains quite brisk in all freight sections, particularly with early June laycans. As a rule, early June TCEs for vessels of various dwt at best manage to cover the running costs (as it was in 2017 and 2018), but now owners’ earnings are twice as high as OPEX.
