Trade comes to standstill on Mediterranean coaster market due to Eid-al-Adha

With most players from Turkey and MENA countries being out of the market for the Eid-al-Adha holidays, trade has shrunk in the Mediterranean Sea. Similar to the neighboring Black Sea region, the decline has not triggered any decreases in freight rates - they nevertheless remain buoyed up by shortage of vessels open for both spot and 1H Aug laycans.
