Having added another $1.23/t after Dec 6, the Global CFI has passed the $50/t milestone for the first time in its history. The index has been once again driven by higher freights in North Europe. Thus, the Gulf of Finland CFI has jumped up by $3.78/t and the Lower Baltic CFI by $2.83/t. The Black Sea rates have inched up by $0.51/t. At the same time, the $0.63/t decline in Azov sea-river freights has restrained the increase of the corresponding index.
