UK, Canadian and US west coast ports refuse accepting Russian-linked vessels

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union, which mainly represents the dock workers of ports situated on the west coast of the United States, has announced that workers of as many as 29 US ports will stop handling Russian cargoes within an “act of solidarity” with Ukraine. In particular, more than 20,000 employees of US western ports will suspend unloading cargoes from vessels arriving from or flying the flag of the Russian Federation. The decision has been made by US dockers after Russian armed forces attacked the civilian population of Ukraine.
