As China's economy has grown steadily since the 1980s, so too has the purchasing power of its consumers, which has translated into a greater interest in diamond jewelry. This was the message of Mr. Sun Fengmin, Vice President and Secretary General of Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China and the Vice Director of National Gems and Jewelry Technology Administrative Center, while he addressed participants at the 2007 China International Diamond Conference.
