Based on the experiences of two Deloitte & Touche global corporate consultants, an underlying premise of this book is that although corporations are like living organisms, most lack what might be termed "common sense." Today's firms are not structured to detect changes in their environments, to evaluate those changes quickly, or to communicate about them effectively.
