Researchers at Kyoto University Release New Data on Network and Service Management (Optimization Model for Primary and Backup Resource Allocation With Workload-dependent Failure Probability)
By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Network Daily News – Current study results on Networks - Network and Service Management have been published. According to news reporting from Kyoto, Japan, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “This paper proposes an optimization model to derive a primary and backup resource allocation considering a workload-dependent failure probability to minimize the maximum expected unavailable time (MEUT). The workload-dependent failure probability is a non-decreasing function which reveals the relationship between the workload and the failure probability.” Funders for this research include Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI).
